Résumé
This study addresses the relationship between the feeling of temporary security among Palestinians and their provision of economic services to Zionist settlers in Palestinian villages adjacent to settlements in the West Bank. It examines the nature of the relationship between the provision of economic services to settlers and the feeling of temporary security experienced by Palestinians offering these services. The study assumes that this sense of temporary security results from the ability of Palestinians to provide economic and service benefits to settlers in nearby settlements. This situation emerges from colonial expansion and control over land, which have transformed Palestinian space into an area surrounded by settlements and compelled Palestinians to adapt to the imposed reality in order to protect themselves. The research aims to interpret the meaning of security and examine how this feeling is constructed among Palestinians who provide economic services to settlers during the period 2021–2025 through field visits, interviews, and an examination of the development and expansion of settlements adjacent to Palestinian villages.
