Laboratory for the Economics and Sociology of Work

Since its establishment in 1969, LEST has been revitalising the study of work and employment by combining economic, sociological and multidisciplinary approaches. With a long-standing focus on international comparison, the laboratory has gradually opened up to new social sciences and strengthened its links with the University, fostering a constant exchange between research and teaching. Its collaborative partnerships, now extended to Latin America, Japan and the Mediterranean region, shed light on major contemporary transformations: migration, inequality, territorial dynamics and digital transformation.
