On 3 July 2026, members of the Laboratory of Labour Economics and Sociology (LEST) will gather in Aix-en-Provence for LEST Day. Designed as an opportunity for discussion, collective reflection and socialising, the day will also feature the official launch of the laboratory’s new website and a presentation of LEST’s future digital tools.
A day dedicated to life in the laboratory
Held at the Pauliane FEG, LEST Day will bring together researchers, PhD students, support staff and partners for a series of discussion sessions focusing on the laboratory’s activities and future prospects.
The morning will begin with a session focusing on governance and the running of the laboratory, followed by a collaborative mapping workshop designed to stimulate collective discussion on LEST’s research, expertise and dynamics.
The afternoon will be devoted to workshops on the key areas and discussions on research support, followed by a collective debrief and a participatory session entitled «The LEST of the future?».
The launch of LEST’s new digital tools
The day will also provide an opportunity to officially launch the new lest.fr website and to present the developments underway regarding the laboratory’s future intranet.
Designed as a tool for promoting scientific excellence and disseminating research, the new website aims to raise the profile of LEST’s projects, publications, events and activities amongst its various audiences. This revamp forms part of a wider initiative to modernise the laboratory’s communication tools and organise its digital operations.
The future intranet will gradually complement this digital ecosystem by providing collaborative tools, practical resources and spaces dedicated to the laboratory’s community life.
A time for conversation and socialising
As well as the working sessions and workshops, this day was designed to encourage discussion between the various sections of the laboratory and to facilitate the sharing of ideas on current and future projects.
It demonstrates the LEST’s focus on collective dynamics, interdisciplinarity and the flow of knowledge both within the laboratory and out into society.
