Our commitments
LEST pays particular attention to working conditions, to the scientific practices and to the collective values which shape the life of the laboratory.
Several thematic committees help to stimulate these discussions and develop practical initiatives within the laboratory.
The Environment Committee encourages the integration of environmental issues in the running of the laboratory and in the organisation of scientific activities.
The Open Science and Commercialisation Committee supports the distribution of search results, the sharing of scientific data and the development of practices in line with the principles of the open science.
A short story PhD Students’ Committee (CODO) was recently set up. The CODO aims to provide a forum for discussion and seeks to promote the flow of information and to help welcome and integrate PhD students.
The laboratory is also committed to to support its members at the various stages of their academic and professional careers, in a spirit of solidarity, collegiality and knowledge-sharing. This commitment is reflected in a number of additional mentoring schemes. These are key aspects of the laboratory’s community life, which help to promote both the professional development, the sharing of experiences and the strengthening of the scientific community.
