Equality
The LEST’s Commission for Equality and the Fight against Sexist and Sexual Violence (COMEGAL) embodies its commitment to a an equal, respectful and safe working environment. The establishment of this committee demonstrates the commitment to to actively combat direct and indirect discrimination, harassment and gender-based and sexual violence (GBV).
A representative and committed committee
COMEGAL is made up of members representing the diversity within the laboratory :
- Lecturers and researchers,
- Researchers,
- PhD students,
- Administrative staff.
This diversity reflects our a commitment to involving all stakeholders LEST’s collective commitment to equality and respect.
A policy in line with our regulatory bodies
In accordance with the guidelines issued by our supervisory authorities, Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and the CNRS, which make these issues a top priority, We are taking action on two fronts:
- Equality in the workplace: to promote gender equality and encourage balanced representation in management positions, decision-making bodies and research teams
- Tackling VSS: to ensure a healthy and equitable environment, free from discrimination, harassment and all forms of gender-based or sexual violence
Objectives
Through its actions, COMEGAL aims to help make LEST a a workplace characterised by respect, inclusion and the wellbeing of everyone. We are convinced that the’equality and the violence prevention must be fundamental principles the running of our laboratory.
