Our organisation
The Laboratory for the Economics and Sociology of Work (LEST) is a joint research unit operating under the supervision of the National Centre for Scientific Research and Aix-Marseille University, within the Faculty of Economics and Management.
The laboratory is also affiliated centre part of Céreq and affiliated with the institute InCIAM from Aix-Marseille University.
The LEST’s operation is based on a collegial governance which combines male and female researchers, male and female lecturers and researchers, female and male PhD students, as well as the research support staff.
The scientific areas of focus and decisions relating to the running of the laboratory are discussed within several governance bodies, in particular the’Annual General Meeting and the Laboratory advice.
Scientific activities are organised around three interdisciplinary areas of research and are based on a research support centre which provides administrative, technical and documentation support for the laboratory’s scientific activities.
