LEST welcomes researchers, lecturers and researchers, PhD students, as well as research support staff. The procedures for recruitment and induction are governed by various schemes (competitions, secondments, research contracts, doctoral training, work placements, work-study schemes).
The laboratory supports new members as they join and helps them to integration in its scientific and community-based activities.
Job vacancies
LEST broadcasts via the job portals on the CNRS and the’Aix-Marseille University job vacancies relating to its research and research support activities (research contracts, engineering, scientific and administrative support).
Every year, LEST also provides support for applications to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships. A guidance programme, with writing support provided by the Mission Europe Recherche at Aix-Marseille University, is launched every spring.
LEST is open to applications for work placements and work-study schemes.
Competition
The recruitment of researchers and lecturers/researchers is carried out mainly through a competitive examination in the context of supervisory bodies (CNRS, Aix-Marseille University). Information on the campaigns and procedures is available on their respective websites.
Every year, LEST supports and assists candidates in the competitive examination as a CNRS research fellow in sections 39, 40, 42 and 43. A support programme is launched in the autumn, in the run-up to the competitive examination, to provide in-depth support for candidates.
Mobility
The laboratory hosts staff on secondment (CNRS delegations, secondments, research visits, CNRS mobility schemes), contributing to the development of scientific collaborations and the international outreach of LEST’s activities.
Expressions of interest for any mobility opportunities should be submitted with the management.
International research visits should be planned as far in advance as possible due to the administrative procedures involved.
Theses
LEST welcomes PhD students enrolled in the doctoral schools its affiliated institutions, in particular those of Aix-Marseille University and its partners.
LEST is affiliated with two AMU doctoral schools: ED 355 Spaces, Cultures, Societies and ED 372 Economics and Management Sciences. He also works with the’ED 356 Cognition, Language and Education.
PhD theses form part of the laboratory’s research priorities and benefit from academic supervision within the research teams. LEST offers a collaborative environment structured around seminars and some discussion time promoting the integration of PhD students.
