The general seminar to mark the start of the academic year is a special opportunity to come together, kick off a new academic year and look ahead to the projects, collaborations and issues that will engage LEST members over the coming months.
This year, the day will begin with an innovative session dedicated to sharing the intellectual sources that inform our research.
Each participant is invited to present a short extract from a text – an article, chapter, essay or other publication – that has shaped their career, inspired their thinking or influenced their approach to research. The texts submitted should be drawn from sources outside LEST, in order to encourage the exploration of diverse perspectives.
The aim of this format is to create a space for sharing, listening and curiosity around ideas that inspire the collective. It is also a way of discovering each other’s intellectual worlds, of bringing to light unexpected connections between the work carried out at LEST, and of fostering the cross-disciplinary dialogues that are the laboratory’s greatest asset.
