Science Festival with LEST

10 October - 11 October

LEST will be taking part in the 35th edition of the Fête de la Science, a national event taking place from 2 to 12 October 2026, centred on the theme «Les saveurs savantes». In Marseille, the laboratory will take part in the Village des Sciences from 9 to 11 October, running several interactive workshops open to the general public.

Researchers at LEST will be organising events exploring the impact of the health crisis on people’s life and work trajectories, changes in global logistics and warehousing, as well as an immersive workshop focusing on dietary transitions and agroecology.

At the same time, a workshop organised in Gap will invite participants to reflect on diversity on our plates and in the fields, by exploring the links between food standardisation, agriculture and ecosystems.

Through these workshops, LEST aims to introduce people to the social sciences, foster dialogue between research and society, and share with the general public the contemporary issues being studied by its research teams.
