LEST launches its new website

The Laboratory of Labour Economics and Sociology (LEST) has launched a new version of its website, lest.fr. Designed to better showcase the laboratory’s research, boost its visibility and facilitate access to its scientific content, this new digital platform supports LEST’s collective ambitions in terms of disseminating knowledge and reaching out to a wide range of audiences.

A revamped website to share research more effectively

The redesign of lest.fr is part of an initiative to modernise the laboratory’s communication tools and promote its scientific work. The new website has been designed to make LEST’s projects, publications, events and activities more accessible to the scientific community, students, institutional partners and the general public.

The website’s architecture has been completely redesigned to offer a clearer navigation experience, tailored to current digital usage patterns and accessible on all devices, including mobiles and tablets.

Greater visibility for scientific activities

The new lest.fr website places great emphasis on showcasing the research carried out within the laboratory. The project pages, scientific news, events and staff profiles have been reorganised to better reflect the diversity of LEST’s work and collaborations.

The website includes, in particular:

  • an enhanced directory of members
  • profiles linked to HAL publications
  • a global search engine
  • multilingual content designed to enhance the laboratory’s international profile.

This new editorial structure also aims to facilitate the dissemination of research findings to socio-economic stakeholders, the media and members of the public interested in contemporary issues relating to work and employment.

A collaborative project

The website redesign involved a working group comprising members of the laboratory, management, support staff and the web service provider, all working towards a common goal: to build a website that is clearer, more scalable and can be managed independently.

This project forms part of the laboratory’s wider communications plan, which includes the development of new digital resources, the regular publication of scientific news, and closer integration between internal communications and the dissemination of research findings.

A new intranet is in the pipeline

The launch of the new website is also accompanied by the development of a future intranet designed to strengthen collaborative tools and the flow of information within the laboratory. This new platform will gradually offer practical resources, shared tools and content relating to community life at LEST.

To mark its launch, the new website will be officially presented to LEST members at the LEST Day on 3 July 2026, an event dedicated to scientific discussion and the laboratory’s collective future prospects.
